Dear readers!

 

It is with pleasure that at the end of the year I can report on successful and timely publication of all four issues of the 43rd volume, as it was planned at the beginning of the year. The number of on-line readers of Acta Stomatologica Croatica has been increasing constantly during these 12 months and has now grown to more than 10000 readers per month. When searching the Acta Stomatologica Croatica through the Croatian Scientific Portal (HRČAK) it can be observed that our journal is placed at the 4th place among 198 journals.

The issue you are about to open features six very interesting and attractive publications that have been positively evaluated by the peer-reviewers in the first part. The second part contains 100 abstracts from two congresses that were held in the last three months: the Congress of the Croatian Society of Dental Implantology and the International Congress of the Croatian Society of Prosthodontics.

List of publications, list of authors and volume contents for the 43rd volume are at the very end of the issue. This volume has 30 articles, out of which 67% were scientific publications, 26% professional papers and 7% invited reviews. Croatian authors underscored in publication, since only 30% of the total were written by Croatian authors, while 70% featured international authors. The quality of the publications was further increased by the peer reviewers that are listed on page 358.

Regularity of the publication depends much on the financial support of the publishers: School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb and the Croatian Dental Society CMA. The greatest support came from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, while there were donations by the Croatian Dental Chamber and Colgate.
